What Training Have Our Operatives Received Here at Diamond Drilling?

We thought we’d take the time to run through the areas in which our team are trained to offer you – as the client – more information on Diamond Drilling in London:
MEWP-Scissor/Boom
MEWPs – also known as mobile elevating work platforms – are pieces of machinery that allow users to reach their desired working height. All of our staff are trained in the safe operation of the machinery, rescue procedures and how to ensure that the maximum load is not exceeded.
Forward Tipping Dumper
Our team are all trained in the best practices when it comes to the operating of forward tipping dumpers.
360 Excavators Below & Above 5 tons
All 360 excavator operators within Diamond Drilling have had training to ensure the safe usage of the equipment. This means that they will be able to fit and operate ancillary equipment, understand the capabilities and limitations of the machine and carry out minor adjustments or routine servicing.
Brokk
If a job requires demolition of existing structures, a Brokk machine is used – a range of remote-controlled demolition machines that have operating for over 40 years. Our team are well-versed in the correct way to utilise this handy tool.
Aluminium Tower Scaffold
Whilst it may seem relatively straightforward compared to other more intricate machinery mentioned here, there are strict procedures that must be adhered to in the safe usage of aluminium tower scaffolding – our team have been properly trained.
CSCS
Our team hold CSCS cards as standard.
Telescopic Handler Fork Lift
Operating a fork lift can be incredibly dangerous without the correct training and knowledge. All of our staff are trained in telescopic handler fork lift usage, from skills and maneuvers to technical knowledge of the equipment itself.
Skid Steer Loaders
Our team have had training that has enabled them to work safely with skid steer loaders – from accident prevention to loader capabilities – all avenues have been covered through an external training body to ensure the loaders are operated along health and safety protocol.
Slinger and Signaller
To properly work with slinging and signaling, our team have been taught how to establish the weight and dimensions of any given load and accurately communicate the information to a crane operator.
Abrasive Wheel
Working with abrasive wheels without adequate training can be a huge cause for unnecessary accidents, which is why our team have had abrasive wheel training.
Health & Safety
All of our employees hold health & safety certificates and are up to date with the latest regulations.
As we are committed to the progression of both our workforce and employees, we currently have two apprentices working with us who are studying for the NVQ 2 in Diamond Drilling and Sawing. This is through the CITB apprenticeship program.
