Diamond core drilling
Clean, accurate holes from 12mm up to over a metre in diameter through brick, block, reinforced concrete, stone and tarmac. Typical jobs are holes for air conditioning pipework, extractor and dryer vents, soil and waste pipes, boiler flues, sprinkler pipes, cable trays, service risers and balcony drainage.
Wall sawing and track sawing
Straight, deep cuts through walls and slabs for new openings, structural alterations and demolition preparation. We cut clean rectangular openings for new doorways, windows and steel beam insertions.
Floor sawing
Deep cuts in concrete slabs, tarmac and asphalt for drainage trenches, expansion joints, road and forecourt repairs, and slab removal.
Wire sawing
For thick reinforced concrete, bridge supports, machine bases and any cutting job too big or too awkward for a standard saw.
Ring sawing
Precise cuts and openings in tight spaces where corners need to finish cleanly — typically doorways and hatches in occupied or finished buildings.
Brokk demolition and concrete bursting
Remote-controlled demolition for confined spaces, occupied buildings, basements and upper floors. Plus concrete bursting for quiet, vibration-free removal of larger sections.
Chasing, scabbling and structural openings
Wall chasing for conduits and services, mechanical scabbling for slab preparation, and full structural opening services including lintel insertion.
How do we find working in East Sussex?
East Sussex has a building stock that throws up its own particular cutting and drilling challenges. A lot of the housing is Victorian or older, with solid brick and stone walls that need diamond drilling rather than percussion methods to get clean holes through without cracking the surrounding masonry. Brighton in particular has a high concentration of conversion work and basement projects, where wire sawing and Brokk demolition come into play. Along the coast — Bexhill, Eastbourne, Seaford, Newhaven — there’s a steady flow of refurbishment work on older seafront properties and a growing volume of air conditioning installation. Inland, in Lewes, Uckfield, Crowborough and Rye, the work is a mix of period property alterations, agricultural and equestrian buildings, and small commercial fit-outs.
