Diamond Drilling UK Services
Diamond Drilling UK Ltd offer the UK construction industry high standards of workmanship and reliability across a wide range of specialist services at competitive prices.
We can offer most services with just 24 hours notice, and a CSCS carded fully trained operative will be on site with all the equipment required to safely and efficiently carry out most jobs.
Please contact us to discuss your needs and to price any work required. We work in London almost every day – cutting concrete in domestic and commercial environments.
We have worked on basement extensions, lintel installations and window openings in situations where our specialist equipment and knowledge is required to make a building work for you. If you need a diamond drilling contractor or any precision concrete cutting works – we look forward to deal with you directly.
Diamond core drilling produces a smooth positionally accurate hole through reinforced concrete, brickwork and many other types of stone, with an absence of dust and vibration.
Using electric or hydraulic, powered drilling rigs, DDUK can drill holes ranging from 12mm in diameter right up to 550mm in diameter.
The diamond drilling service has a wide range of applications from holes in walls and floors for services, to extracting concrete cores for these purposes.
We also have the facilities for water control should this be required although dry core drilling is also available in certain situations.
The Diamond Wall Chasing process is invaluable to electrical and mechanical engineers for the installation of concealed conduit or pipes in either concrete or block work structures. The twin bladed machine easily and efficiently dry cuts chases of 45mm wide by 35mm deep and is virtually dust free. Wider chases for double or treble conduits can be achieved if required. Contact us today for dustless wall chasing.
Diamond wall sawing is a track-mounted system that is bolted to a wall and creates openings for doorways, windows and ducts. Other applications are creating separation joints prior to demolition and cutting openings where the floor saw would find it difficult to gain access.
Petrol or 3 phase electric driven hydraulic unit’s power wall saws.
Diamond floor sawing ensures a fast and effective method of creating openings in reinforced concrete slabs or asphalt surfaces. It is particularly suited to forming openings for service and ventilation ducts, lift shafts, escalators and separation joints prior to demolition. Other applications include cutting expansion and crack inducing joints, cutting for trenches for utility contractors and forming clean-cut edges to concrete slab.
Petrol, diesel or hydraulic units power diamond floor saws.
Diamond wire sawing is also known as ‘wire sawing’. A diamond beaded wire can be wrapped around almost any size or shape of concrete or masonry structure. It is then fed through a series of pulleys; the wire is then tensioned, rotated and then pulled through the concrete to be cut.
The most widely recognised Surface Preparation method, typically described as a Scabbler, Planer, Groover or Scarifier. Common uses include:
- Reducing screeds and levels, often referred to as Planing
- Removal of coatings, line markings & membrane
- Texturing & Grooving surfaces, often to increase Slip Resistance
- Removal of laitence & surface deposits, including ice in cold stores
A ‘flailing’ action is achieved by loose fitment of multi-point circular cutters across a cylindrical drum.
Both techniques are ideal for cutting door and window openings. The hand-held chain saw is quick and efficient to operate and is used for straight line cuts with right-angle corners. The ring saw like the chain saw, is a hand-held device, powered by hydraulics that require a water supply. The depth of the cut is determined by the diameter of the diamond blade, up to a maximum depth of 250mm. The ring saw is fairly quiet to operate and virtually vibration free.
These hand-held portable devices are ideal for construction and demolition sites where access or workspace is limited.
Diamond chain saw looks like a chain saw; it uses a chain with diamond tipped teeth.
These slice through reinforced concrete and can also perform plunge cuts.
In order to offer a more complete service to our clients we form openings and insert lintels / steels.
Temporary support forms a large part of our work as we cut and form openings for lintels and steels.
Our experienced staff are able to produce the highest level of documentation. From Health and Safety documentation through to the most detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessment, DDUK are able to meet the most demanding of contractual requirements.
