CORE DRILLING

Specialists in the diamond core drilling process
If you’re looking for a way to create smooth and accurate holes in materials such as reinforced concrete, brickwork, or similar, you have come to the right place. At Diamond Drilling UK, we specialise in the diamond core drilling process. This particular technique has the advantage of producing no dust, little debris, and no vibration.

It is possible to achieve this because the accuracy of the cutting is so precise, producing a higher standard finish, decreasing the risk of any structural damage, and even saving the cost and time of disposal. It can even be used in confined spaces due to the fact the diamond core drilling machines are so lightweight and portable.

Our company provides diamond core drilling in London and surrounding areas, where we are able to work on a variety of applications. This could be creating holes in walls and floors for plumbing and electrical work, or extracting concrete cores. When it comes to the diamond core drilling sizes, we can drill holes with diameters between 12mm and 550mm using either electric or hydraulic powered drilling rigs.

As part of providing our concrete core drilling contractors, we also have facilities to control water in order to cool the drill bit. This might be needed to further reduce any debris, as well as aiding in prolonging the life of the drill bit itself. It’s also possible to carry out dry core drilling, which is usually used to drill into general housing materials, including soft stone, sandstone brick and block. It is required to only use rotary action without extra percussive action. Alternatively, with horizontal drilling, some small amount of pressure is needed to mill away at the material being worked on, whilst with vertical drilling, the gravitational pull of the drill itself is enough.

FLOOR SAWING

Welcome to Diamond Drilling UK. We are specialists in the drilling and cutting of reinforced concrete and masonry, using state of the art diamond cutting equipment. We offer a range of floor sawing services, some of which are detailed below.

Floor sawing is the one of the most basic diamond sawing techniques, and floor saws are the preferred method of cutting when clean, straight cuts are needed. When cutting a flat, horizontal surface, a machine equipped with a diamond cutting disc is used to achieve straight cuts to a specified depth. Our floor sawing services are ideal for cutting trenches in concrete, tarmac and asphalt when precision is of paramount importance. We use this process on roads, concrete floors, and any other construction material.

Diamond Drilling Uk carry out floor sawing using a low emission, diesel-powered self propelled mobile saw. It can cut up to 400mm deep in reinforced concrete, tarmac and asphalt surfaces. The whole process is water controlled, so that the slurry can be collected, processed and treated to aid in disposal.

We are also well known as a diamond wire sawing company. Wire sawing is a technique used to cut large blocks of material, or when space does not allow us to get in with our other cutting machines. Whatever your concrete drilling or sawing needs, we can help – get in touch today to find out more.

CHASING

We offer a range of services related to concrete cutting
Here at Diamond Drilling UK, we offer a range of services related to concrete cutting and drilling from our base in East Sussex. As part of our repertoire, we provide customers with diamond wall chasing, which refers to cutting or creating a channel in concrete or block walls or flooring.

Diamond wall chasing is usually most common within the electrical and mechanical industries. This process enables engineers to install wires or drainpipes and conceal them within the structure itself, so they aren’t exposed on the outside of the wall.

When looking for diamond chasing companies, we are able to offer our services from our base to surrounding areas, including in London, Southend and further afield. You may require our services for existing systems, or you may need fittings that function independently. If you’re looking for concrete chasing services in the UK, look no further.

We carry out diamond chasing using twin-bladed machines, which dry cut chases into hard walls. As with the rest of our diamond drilling services, this process doesn’t produce any dust and any vibration is minimal. As well as being a better workspace, it also produces the best quality results and reduced any risk of structural damage. Furthermore, you won’t need to spend time and money to safely dispose of dust.

Whatever your requirements, we are sure to be able to meet your specifications, whether you need to cut more than one change, or make wider channels to fit an increased number of conduits for complicated wiring tasks. Providing a bespoke service, we are sure to find a solution that suits you by delving into our many years of experience and wealth of knowledge within the diamond cutting field.

SCABBLING
There are many instances when it can be desirable to remove the top layer of concrete. If the concrete is newly poured, in may need to be levelled back, or textured in preparation for painting or coating. In other cases, a layer may be removed to obliterate deposits (eg road markings), or because it has become contaminated (such as in a sewage plant).

The process used to achieve this effect is known as scabbling. Mechanical scabbling involves using machines which are similar to pneumatic drills, but with many small heads. Known as a concrete floor scabbler, such a machine chips away the concrete evenly over the area of the block until the desired effect is realised. Concrete scabbling is not a process most builders will undertake every day, and therefore few find it cost effective to own their own scabblers. Instead, most will turn to concrete cutting and drilling companies for their scabbling services. UK builders are well supported by an industry which understands their needs and can offer first class service.

Anyone searching for scabbling services in London need look no further than Diamond Drilling UK. As a cutting, drilling and scabbling company established for many years, we have built up a fine reputation with our customers, which is why they keep coming back to us. We have been scabbling concrete in the south east for many years, so you can expect a prompt and professional service every time.

Whether you are involved in groundworks, erection or finishing, achieving a professional-looking result at every step is good for business and ultimately contributes to your reputation as a conscientious and reliable contractor. Choosing the right scabbling services is a way you can provide the right results every time, get in touch with us to find out more.

CUTTING OPENINGS THROUGH CONCRETE AND BRICK
When you need to cut door or window openings, it is important to have the right tools at hand. Using either a ring saw or chain saw, such handheld portable devices are ideal for this process. This is especially true when working on building sites or demolition sites where there may be a limited amount of space.

Here at Diamond Drilling UK, we offer chain saws with diamond-tipped teeth. This enables you to easily cut through materials such as reinforced concrete, and perform plunge cut operations. We recommend this type of saw when you need to cut straight lines with right-angle corners.

This technique offers optimum precision when slicing through hard materials, so it is perfect to create openings where over-cutting must be avoided. Diamond chain saws are capable of cutting to a great depth, making them also suitable for cutting old stone buildings with thick walls.

Both types of saws are powered hydraulically, requiring a water supply to operate. How deep the cut can be is dependent on the diameter of the diamond blade, capable of achieving a maximum depth of 250mm. The ring saw is particularly quiet and perfect for internal projects or restricted spaces. Both saws are dust-free, vibration-free, and they don’t produce any fumes. Whether you’re carrying out a renovation or a conversion, these diamond saws are ideal for cutting openings.
